Introduction

Welcome to the Hachimail Developer Documentation. These resources will help you understand our zero-knowledge architecture and integrate with the Hachimail Protocol (HMP).

Why Hachimail?

Traditional email protocols (SMTP/IMAP) were designed in an era of trust. They allow intermediaries to read, analyze, and censor communications. Hachimail rebuilds digital messaging from first principles, treating privacy as an architectural requirement rather than a policy setting.

End-to-End Encrypted

Only the recipient holds the keys.

Metadata Obfuscated

Sender/receiver graphs are hidden.

Installation

The Hachimail CLI is the primary interface for interacting with the protocol from your terminal.

Terminal
$npm install -g @hachimail/cli
# Initialize your identity vault
$hachimail init --strength=256
